1)EPFL and ETH-Zurich - Switzerland - Autonomous Systems Laboratory
These two universities have a common research laboratory, among the best in the world. A decent place if you want to go for PhD. Not recommended for people who have plans only for MS. Offers MS and PhD in Robotics as well in home department with Robotics as specialization. Very tough to crack.

Students who wish to pursue education in robotics in any of the listed universities, should prepare well. Generally a high GRE score (more than 1250, AWA 4.0+), very high acads and most important a research experience is required. International Conference and Journal papers count a lot in here. Since robotics is fully inclined towards research, the universities seek candidates with potential in research and better academic goals.

Career Prospects: Here is something which you may not like about robotics. Robotics is something which is highly used in Defence and related projects. There are jobs available and most of them (I mean 90%) requires security clearance thus only US Citizens and PR are eligible for those kind of jobs. There are a few private limited companies working in robotics sector and they seek some professionals with PhDs in Robotics. A good career can be sought in academia itself, but that surely requires PhD. In most cases, you will be required to do PhD if you want to build a good career in robotics.
